Short Reference

Syntax

DATA dtype TYPE dbtab [READ-ONLY]
                      lob_handle_type FORlob_handle_columns
                     [lob_handle_type FORlob_handle_columns
                      ...                                  ].

Effect

Derivation of an lob handle structure as a work area for working withstreaming and locators in Open SQL. For dbtab, you must specify either adatabase table orview that is defined in the ABAP Dictionary.

Using the lob_handle_columns column specifications,lobs from dbtab are determined for whichlobhandle components are created in the structure and whose static type is determined using the lob_handle_type type specification.

The syntax and meaning of the additions are exactly the same as the definition of lob handle structureswith the corresponding variant of the TYPES statement.
