Purpose

You use this transaction to create or copy DIF occurrences. Depending on how a DIF is defined, you canassign DIFs to locations (or location groups) and products, or to locations or location groups only. It is also possible to assign a DIF occurrence generically; that is, to all products or all locations.

When creating a DIF, several attributes can generally be used in order to specify the occurrence, dependant on the configuration of the DIF identifier. For each DIF occurrence, a unique number is generally assigned.

Information is needed at different levels of DIF data:

Attributes

Enter parameters for definition and occurrence of the DIF

• Recurring DIF (indicator that a DIF occurrence recurs every year)

• Value (for instance of a metric or sales prices DIF)

• Active status (indicator that a DIF occurrence is active)

• Reference field (for instance to map the promotion number from R/3)

Memo

Enter explaining notes to the DIF occurrence.

Assignment:

Assign the DIF occurrence to a location or location product depending on the DIF type.

Administration

Specify in which way a DIF occurrence was generated and by which user.
