Purpose

FRP Base Profile

In SAP Forecast & Replenishment (F&R) 4.1, the forecast horizon was determined at the location levelby a technical setting in the forecast time series profile in TSM Customizing. In SAP Forecast & Replenishment(F&R) 5.0, a new control of the forecast horizon using the base profile has been introduced. The default for the forecast horizon at the location level has been introduced in the FRP base profile.

Existing FRP base profiles must be updated with the forecast horizon from the TSM Customizing. New profiles can be generated and are assigned at the location level.

Exception Base Profile

In SAP F&R 4.1, some parameters that were related to the creation of F&R exceptions were located indifferent profiles. In SAP F&R 5.0, a new base exception profile has been introduced that contains all exception-related parameters (new and existing ones).

New profiles must be generated automatically from the existing profiles using the same parameter settings.

Location Assignment

The newly generated profiles must be assigned to the locations based on the existing profile assignment.
