Purpose

Run this report to collect data of Document Builder documents for archiving purposes.

Note:

It is recommended that this task be performed by a System Administrator to remove obsolete documents from the database or free up space.

Process

Archiving Document Builder documents is a two-step process. Run this report to:

1. Read the relevant data from the following tables:

• Document Builder Documents (/IPRO/TDOCMNT)

• XML Document Data (/IPRO/TDOCDATA)

• Document Builder Attachments (/IPRO/TATTACH)

• Document Builder Custom Elements (/IPRO/TCUSTELM)

• Text for User and Custom Elements / Auxiliary Documents (/IPRO/TLOCAL_TXT)

1. Create an archive file containing all the Document Builder documents to be deleted.
2. To delete the archived Document Builder documents from your application server, you must run report Delete Document Builder Documents.

Integration

Use this report in combination with report Delete Document Builder Documents.

Prerequisites

Document Builder documents must be available in the system.

Features

Selection

The following selection options are available:

• Document Builder Options

• Document Number
  You can restrict the document range using various criteria. Note that you must first select the relevant content.

• Further Selection Criteria

• Archive until End Date
  Enables you to further restrict the document range by specifying an end date.

• Processing Options

• Test Mode
  Select this option to simulate an archive run (no file created).

• Productive Mode
  Select this option to create the archive file.

• Output

• Detailed List
  Enables yout to write the log either to the list (spool for background programs), the application log, or both.

• Output Type
  Determines the output type. You can choose to view either a summary of the processed objects, a detail log without success messages, or a full-detail log.

• Note
  Note describing the content of the archive files.

Standard Variants

Output

The report generates a file containing all the Document Builder documents to be deleted.
