Purpose

This report enables you to perform a mass update of projects from a back-end application system. You can select one or more projects, and exclude certain projects from the update process.

Integration

This report resides on top of SAP Collaboration Projects (SAP cProjects), SAP Product Lifecycle ManagementProject System (SAP PLM PS), and Microsoft Project Server. You can update base projects in SAP xRPM using the underlying cProjects structure.

Note: You can link a portfolio item in SAP xRPM to only one base system project.

Prerequisites

• The projects you want to update must already have been uploaded to SAP xRPM.

• The RFC connections, logical systems, object link types, and application areas must have been configuredfor the SAP xRPM system. To make these settings, in Customizing for SAP xAppResource and Portfolio Management (SAP xRPM), choose Base System Interfaces -> Application Object Settings.

Features

Selection

1. You select the back-end application and back-end logical system.
2. In the Project External ID field, you select the project(s) from the back-end system you selected above.
3. You can enter a language for the projects that you want to update.
4. If you enter Microsoft Project Server as the back-end system, after you enter the projectsthat you want to update, you enter your user ID and password in the MS Server User and MS Server Password fields.
5. You can update one or more of the objects listed in the Upload Options section.
   Note: You can only select Teams if you enter SAP PLM PS or Microsoft Project Server as the base application system.

Standard Variants

Output

The report displays the results of the projects that were updated, including any messages that result from the update process.
