Title

Starting an External Optimization

Purpose

You can use this report to start directly an external optimizer that is connected to the SAP APO system using the Optimization Extension Workbench.

Integration

You cannot call this report from an application component that uses a simulation version.

Prerequisites

You make all settings that are necessary for calling the external optimization (such as the type of call) in the Customizing of the Optimization Extension Workbench.

Features

If you call an external optimization with this report, you can transfer addition data for optimization profiles and master data (resources and location products).

If you have entered additional information when calling this report, this is transferred in the EXTENSION_IN parameter of the calling function.

The following structures are used for the transfer of additional functions:

• /SAPAPO/APX_TPVS_OPT_PROFILE

Information about the selected TP/VS optimization profile

• /SAPAPO/APX_CDPS_OPT_PROFILE

Information about the selected PP/DS optimization profile

• BAPI10001APXPRODLOCKEY

Information about the selected location products; a table entry exists for each location product

• BAPI10004APXRESMAPKEY

Information about the selected resources; a table entry exists for each resource
