Title

Consistency Checks for Transportation and Shipment Scheduling

Purpose

The system assigns Customizing entries from the OLTP system in mapping tables to the corresponding Customizing entries in SAP APO. The system checks whether the entries available in eachlogicalsystem are also available in SAP APO. The system also checks if thedata to which the Customizing entries in the OLTP system are mapped (still) exist in SAP APO.

The system checks if you have also defined the following critical Customizing entries from the OLTP system in SAP APO:

• Shipping condition

• Transportation zone

• Item category

The system checks the following Customizing entries that are independent of the OLTP system:

• Location

The system checks whether you have assigned the transportation zones in SAP APO to valid locations.

• Means of transport

The system checks whether you have assigned the shipping conditions to valid means of transport.

• Process alias

The system checks whether you have assigned an item category to a valid process alias.

• Assignment of condition type list

The system checks whether the scheduling schemas used exist and contain valid date types and activities.In addition, the system checks whether the condition type lists exist that you have assigned to the specific applications and usages.

For performance reasons, we recommend that you only choose the options for which you want to perform the consistency check.

Integration

Prerequisites

The basis is the integration of SAP APO with an additional SAP system thatfunctions as an OLTP system, for example, SAP R/3 or SAP CRM.

In addition, you have set up a logical system for the OLTP system and assigned it an RFC destination.

If the Customizing entries of the OLTP system are not available in SAP APO, the system generates a corresponding message with a yellow traffic light.

If the data to which the Customizing entries of the OLTP system are mapped does not exist (any more) in SAP APO, the system generates a corresponding message with a red traffic light.
