Purpose

This report can be used to convert datasets adopted from old SAP APO releases (3.0, 3.1) into the new,space-saving data format. This involves the conversion of information from the table /SAPAPO/SDFIELD to table /SAPAPO/SD_DOC, which contains SD document information from external systems (such as SAP R/3).

Integration

When datasets are adopted from earlier SAP APO releases (3.0, 3.1), it is not absolutely essential toconvert data using this report. Application and CIF interfaces take the data migration - that has perhapsnot yet taken place - into consideration, so that the datasets (in the old and new format) are extended.Migration from the old to the new data format then takes place gradually using each inbound data record from an external system.

Selection

This report also gives you the opportunity to only check the dataset on data that has not yet been converted, without a migration being executed. In this case, the "Check Only" indicator should be activated.

It is also possible to split the migration process into blocks, depending on the number of items ("Number of Items" parameter). This can improve performance when there are larger datasets (table /SAPAPO/SDFIELD).
