Purpose

The Transit Monitor enables you to select inbound deliveries in the feeder system to display the statusof the corresponding customs import shipments from SAP Global Trade Services (SAP GTS). This status can be one of the following values:

• Waiting for unloading permission

• Unloading permission received

• Transit procedure dispatched

Prerequisites

Inbound delivery documents must exist for you to use the full scope of this report.

Features

Selection

The selection screen contains four different input blocks to define the search criteria, as well asa selection field to choose a user-defined layout for the output. The input blocks are arranged in groups;you cannot combine entries from the different blocks. You specify data for a purchase order, an inbound delivery, a shipment, or a previous document to select the relevant inbound deliveries.

Output

The output is a standard SAP list that contains the basic information for the corresponding inbounddelivery, the vendor, the shipment, or the customs shipment. You can also select a line and press a button in the list header to display the details of the inbound delivery or the shipment.

Example

Based on a purchase order, the goods to be imported are delivered and are currently located at the company'sreceiving department. Since the corresponding transit procedure was opened automatically, you have towait for unloading permission from the customs authorities and then for the closing notification for the transit procedure. This report allows you to query this status.
