Purpose

This program writes shipments in Transportation Management from the database to archive files.

Integration

Prerequisites

• Maintain the residence time for the shipment type in Customizing for Extended Warehouse Management(EWM) under Goods Issue Process -> TransportationManagement-> Shipments-> Define Shipment Type.

• A shipment document is archived when the following prerequisites are met:

• The document has been in the database for a certain residence time. You have defined the residence time in Customizing for the shipment type.

• The current management status of the document permits it to be archived, for example, if the currentstatus is Deleted or Transportation Ended.

Activities

1. Choose a variant with which the program is to be started by using the input help.

If no variant exists, create one using Maintain. For notes on the procedure, see the FI help for the Variant field.

1. Use Start Time to define when the job is to be executed.
2. Use Spool Parameter to define how the archiving log is to be managed. Ifthe delete program is started automatically by the archive program, these spool parameters also apply to the log for the delete program.

1. In Customizing under Technical Settings, you can make furthersettings such as the size of an archive file, the logical file name, the interface to ArchiveLink, and the automatic start of the delete program, as required.
2. In Customizing under Client-(In)dependent File Names/Paths, you maintain the names and paths of logical files (transaction FILE [cross-client], SF01 [client-specific]).
3. To create the job with the set values, choose Generate Job.

Under Environment-> Job Overview, a list is displayed containing all jobs that are available for the current archive program in job management.
