Purpose

You can use this report to check and compare the stock data between Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) and SAP ERP system.

If the stock data is different in EWM and ERP, the stock data from EWM is used since the data in EWM is more exact than the inventory management in ERP.

Integration

Prerequisites

You are authorized to execute the transaction /SCWM/ERP_STOCKCHECK (ERP stock comparison). On the SAP Easy Access screen, choose EWM -> PhysicalInventory -> Periodic Processing -> Stock Comparison ERP.

The report does not set or check locks. You must therefore note that the report must not be executedwhile the system is running. The report can check the IDocs, outbound queues in the sending EWM system, and inbound queues in the receiving SAP ERP system.

Features

1. The report reads the stock data from EWM. It then determines the corresponding EWM warehouse numberand ERP plant data. This is possible since the data for the plant from ERP is mapped to the warehousenumber in EWM. EWM determines the target system from the business partner master record for the party entitled to dispose.
2. The report reads the stock data from ERP for all determined plant/storage location combinations with the function module L_MM_MATERIALS_READ_QUANTITY or /SPE/MATERIAL_STOCK_READ if available.
3. The report calculates the differences between the stock data in EWM and ERP. You can correct the stock data in ERP by selecting Save in production mode in the report.

The maximum number of material document items in ERP is set to 400. When you post differences, that is, equalize them, the report executes this equalization using one of the following function modules:

• /SPE/GOODSMVT_CREATE and the target Target System. The report posts the stock data change synchronously in ERP.

• FB /SCWM/IDOC_OUTPUT_GOODSMVT_CR (create goods movement). The report generates an IDoc document that must be processed manually.

Depending on your Customizing settings for the control parameters of the ERP connection, EWM uses thecorresponding function module. If the communication is to take place in the form of an IDoc document, before the evaluation the system checks whether unprocessed IDocs still exist in the sending system or target system.

1. The call of the BAdI /SCWM/EX_ERP_GOODSMVT_EXT is implemented. You can use this BAdI to make changes and enhancements to goods movements that were reported to the ERP system.
2. The report does not calculate or post the serial number differences.

Selection

You must enter the warehouse number. We recommend you enter a product and a party entitled to dispose to improve performance.

Output

When the report executes a change in the stock data in ERP, EWM displays the ERP material document in the log.
