Functionality
This function module creates a new order proposal item for the store, vendor, product, requirements quantity and unit. The current date is used as the release date.
There are three possible situations:
- If an order proposal already exists for the source location, target location, release date, ANDitem, then the existing order proposal is not changed, no item is added, and an exception is writteninto the BAPIRET table. In addition, the system returns the existing item structure for the product, including the requirements quantity.
In this case, the module /FRE/SUI_MANUAL_OP_UPDATE must be used to update the existing item of the order proposal.
- If an order proposal already exists for the source location, target location and release date, butNOT for the product, a new line item is added to the order proposal. The system writes a success message into the BAPIRET table and returns the newly created item structure for the product.
- If no order proposal exists for the source location, target location and release date, the systemcreates a new order proposal header and adds the line item for the new product to the order proposal.The system writes a success message into the BAPIRET table and returns the newly created item structure for the product, including the new order proposal header number.
