Functionality

You use this service to create or modify interchangeability groups.

Creating an Interchangeability Group

If you want to create an interchangability group, you must specify the following data:

• Header data

• Name of the interchangeability group (optional)

• Description

• Interchangeability group type

• All item data

If the group contains a one-to-many, many-to-one, or many-to-many substitution, the item data for theproduct combination must be entered in the phantom assembly input table and the member type for each product/assembly must be specified. The mode for creating is "01."

Furthermore, you must specify the basic member type of the preceeding and succeeding group members. The following basic member types are available:

• 5 = Product

• 2 = Group

• 1 = Assembly

Modifying an Interchangeability Group

If you want to modify an interchangability group, you must specify the following data:

• Header data

• Name of the interchangeability group (mandatory)

• Description

• Type of the interchangeability group

• All item data

If the group contains a one-to-many, many-to-one, or many-to-many substitution, the item data for theproduct combination must be entered in the phantom assembly input table and the member type for each product/assembly must be specified. The mode for modifying is "02."

The function module deletes the data of the group and creates it with the modified item data.
