Functionality

This function creates, deletes, or changes the containers specified in the table IT_CONT_METHOD. The method used depends on the content of the field METHOD:

• GC_NEW: New container

• GC_DELETE: Delete

• GC_CHANGE: Change (existing container is overwritten)

If you want to create or change a container of characteristic requirements, save its data to the import table IT_CHARACT_REQ. For characteristic value assignments, save the container data to IT_CHARACT_VAL.

ET_RC returns a separate return code for each container with processing errors.

Return codes (see table ET_RC):

• om_invalid_charact_cont_id: Container not found in liveCache.

• om_duplicate_container: Container already exists in liveCache.

• om_container_in_usage: Container is still being used.

• om_no_container_data: No data specified for this container.

• om_incompatible_container_data: Both value assignments and requirements specified for a container.
