Functionality

This function creates, changes, or deletes a pattern iv_pt, depending on the mode iv_change_mode.

If a pattern is created, it_timestamp_pair is a table of timestamp pairs in the time buckets profiles iv_tg_from and iv_tg_to. This defines a mapping rule between the two profiles.

The change mode enables you to change the mapping rule by specifying a new table of time stamp pairs,it_timestamp_pair. A redefinition of this type flags all dependent time series with an update flag.The dependent objects then need to be updated. An additional change to the time buckets profile references iv_tg_from or iv_tg_to is possible only if there are no pattern chains that reference the pattern.

A delete action for a pattern is performed only if there are no longer any dependent objects.
