Functionality

You can use this method to create a material document for a goods movement. The single-unit batch information is taken into account.

Only one material document can be created during one call of the method.

You can use the simulation function before posting the goods movement to check how the data is updatedin the database. The default setting is that the goods movement is posted immediately without running a simulation first.

Make sure you transfer the data exactly as it is in the database, for example

8-digit material number with leading zeros

Batches with capital letters

Note that the posting date is transferred to the header data of the material document for all the operationslisted below. To do so, fill the PSTNG_DATE field in the BAPI2017_GM_HEAD_01 interface (import structure GOODSMVT_HEADER).

The following information about the material document that is to be created is transferred to the method:

A structure with the header data

A structure with code of goods movement

A table containing item data

A table with single-unit batch information for the item data

Table parameter IS_MP_GOODSMVT_ITEM (structure /SAPMP/BAPI2017_GM_ITEM_CREATE)

Field INDEX_GDSMVT

A unique assignment to an order in table GOODSMVT_ITEM must be made via its index.

Field SU_BATCH_SET

Value 'X' must be set for this field because the value BLANK has a meaning in fields SU_BATCHand SU_BATCH_TP. If the SU_BATCH_SET field has the value BLANK, the single-unit batch information is copied from the default values in the material master.
