Functionality

This BAPI is used in order to send event messages to the event manager . Event messages is used forthe communication of #event# related information from any source, e.g. a tracking service provider, a carrier, a customer, etc., to the EM.

A set of tables containing the message data is given to the BAPI as input, the data structure is convertedinto the appropriate structure of the event message database tables, then saved in the database and further processed by the event manager.

The minimal required amount of data, contained in the header table, is the event identification, the tracking Ids that identify the Event Handler, date and time.

Note that if the user knows a priori that the messages are not to be buffered / will not generate eventhandlers, setting the corresponding indicators to 'N' (see input parameters) will improve performance (useless checks will be skipped).

There is only one output parameter: an indicator that the processing has been stopped because of syntax errors.
