Functionality

This function module creates a work item of any type from an event. The type is determined by the type of task. The underlying task must be transferred with the parameter RECTYPE.

In the function module, the data flow is performed from the event container to the required work itemcontainer. This data flow must be defined for the task. The data flow is the only way that you can supplythe work item container with data. All the other parameters needed for the creation of the work itemcan only have the default values that were agreed on for the work item (or the task), for example, rules for the processors, priority, callback modules, deadline handling, and so on.

If such a data flow is not defined, the corresponding work item is not created. The error handling thento be performed can be defined in the administration for the event queue on the Basic Data tab page.
