| Parameter Description :                                              |
| -----------------------                                              |
| The parameter abap/unicode_check controls the execution of Unicode |
| checks in a non-Unicode system during the syntax check and   |
| during runtime of ABAP programs.                                   |
| The parameter can have the following values:                          |
|   on:  the Unicode checks are carried out for every ABAP program.|
|        The system behaves as if the program attribute "Unicode checks|
|        active" is set for all ABAP   |
|        programs.                                                     |
|   off: No Unicode checks are carried out.            |
|                                                                      |
| In a Unicode system, the Unicode checks are of course carried out    |
| independently of the value of the parameter.         |
