  Short description: Controls usage of cursor insert feature

  If you use the 'cursor insert' feature, several data records can
  be written to the database with one network transfer. This reduces
  the number of communications between application host and
  database host, and therefore reduces the network traffic.

  If you switch off 'cursor insert', all INSERT statements are
  forwarded individually to the database.

  Its influence on performance is not insignificant.
