| stat/clock defines which clock is used for SAP statistics. There     |
| are two clocks available in the system: one based on gettimeofday    |
| and a platform-specific clock based on hardware register.            |
| The second clock is more efficient, however it does not function     |
| correctly in all environments.                                       |
