Functionality

This activity updates the current state of an SAP AII object. The current state includes the hierarchy, object status(In stock, Not in stock, Decommissioned'), and location. The activity also updates the SAP Business Intelligence (SAP BI) inventory movements if you have set the globalBW Update flag.

Activity parameters:

• OBJECT_STATUS : (DECOMMISSIONED, IN_STOCK, NOT_IN_STOCK)

• NO_LOCATION_UPDATE: prevent the location of the object being updated

• UNDO: reset to the state that existed before the last action

Relationships

Because this activity works exclusively on the activity context table and not on the activity messagedata, you should place activity that populates the activity context (such as DEVICE_VALIDATE) earlier in the rule than DEVICE_UPDATE_CURRENT_STATE.

Example

This activity is used in standard rules for Packing, Loading, Unpacking, Unloading, and Tag Commissioning.
