Functionality

This class makes it possible to read and change accesses to metadata within the BE Framework.

The class provides numerous generic methods with which all types of metadata can be processed.

Currently, usage is restricted to the following types of metadata:

Application (/BEF/IF_M_APPL), object (/BEF/IF_M_OBJ), feature(/BEF/IF_M_FEATURE), application object (/BEF/IF_M_AO), feature assignment(/BEF/IF_M_AOF), feature variable (/BEF/IF_M_FV), service (/BEF/IF_M_SERVICE) and for selection purposes of feature dependencies (/BEF/IF_M_AOFF).

The interface names provided in brackets describe /BEF/IF_M_OBJECT and the interfaces with which the system can access the objects that are returned by the metadata API.

Additionally, this class provides methods that realize complex actions, but those which are frequently applied to metadata.
