Functionality

When ABAP lists are called, the %PAL (Parse List) system command calls the structurerecognition function for standard lists; it then displays the accessibility results for the list in controls. These results can then be saved manually or automatically, so that you can analyze them later with CheckMan.

To remove the errors, you must ensure that the lists comply with the rules laid out in the documents"Rules for Accessible ABAP Lists" and "Accessibility of SEUT Trees". The terminology used in the messages of this check tool is also explained in these documents.

Sometimes, applications are implemented so that all user input in the controls is suppressed. To still be able to save the structure recognition results, the autosave function must be activated.

If the list is a dialog box, and you do not have a field for the OK code, create a desktop link for the system command %PAL in the SAP GUI and drag this link to the dialog box.

The controls interface offers you the following functions:

- Save Check Results

You can do this manually with the Save button, or automatically. To activatethe autosave function, enter the value YES for the SACC_AUTOSAVE parameter in the user master record. In this case, the Save button is not needed.

- Exit

Here, you exit the %PAL display and return to the list screen. Caution: All instances of the controls will be closed.

- Page Functions with Position Indicator

The check result display is currently set to a package size of 100 messages. If you get more than 100messages for your list, there are two functions for calling another package, either the preceding or next package. To help you to orientate, a position indicator shows you where you are currently located.

- Statistical Analysis

Here, you can display your messages, grouped by message name.

- Documentation

Displays this documentation.

- Find

You can use this function to search for a message within the current package.

- Layout

You can use this function to adapt the layout to your requirements.

Notes

To deactivate the AUTOSAVE function, the SACC_AUTOSAVE parameter must be empty or deleted.
