Functionality

For using regularexpressions, the classes CL_ABAP_REGEX and CL_ABAP_MATCHER are available.

When creating an object of type CL_ABAP_REGEX, from the textual representationof the expression its internal representation is generated; optionally, additional specifications canbe made to correctly interpret the expression. The class CL_ABAP_REGEX represents the regular expression and provides four public methods:

• constructor(pattern, [ignore_case], [no_submatches], [simple_regex])

• create_matcher([text], [table])

• create(pattern ,[ignore_case], [simple_regex], [no_submatches])

• escape_operators(text)
