Functionality
This class provides service methods for the generic implementation of the Code List Provider interfaces (IF_ESF_CODE_LIST_PROVIDER) by the class CL_CENG_GEN_CODE_LIST_PROVIDER.
Only one service is currently required: the conversion of the identifying part of the context structureof a code type into the list ID. There are various methods for this service, to convert in both directions with various input parameters.
This service is required if the values of a code type are not unambiguous, and can only be clarifiedfrom the context, or some context fields (e.g. if a country context value is always required for a codevalue for a region, because the code values are only unambiguous per country). The identifying parts of the context are encoded in the list ID of a code value.
The methods which create a list ID must be used when a code value is combined into a code type whichis realized by the generic code list provider. This is the case in the generic code list provider itself, and can also be necessary, for example, in business objects.
You can change the structure of a list ID, later, so you should only construct and dismantle a list ID with the methods in this class.
