CL_ECM_SIMPLE_VALIDITY - Facad Class for Simple, Time-Based Validity

Functionality

This class contains no functionality of its own for change management. It merely provides the applicationinterface, if change management is only to be used with simple time-based validity. The methods of thisclass, correspondingly, have a simplified interface in comparison to the corresponding methods of thefacade class CL_ECM_FACADE. Furthermore, on saving, some additional steps are performed, which can be taken from the application.

When you use simple, time-based validity, change requests of change type VALIDITY are created in changemanagement. Change tasks and object management records are processed automatically. The only differencefrom other change types is that object changes can still be made with released change requests (they are released when they are created).

Relationships

This class uses methods of classes CL_ECM_FACADE and CL_ECM_ORD. The same functionality could also be achieved by using class CL_ECM_FACADE.
