Functionality

This class contains tools that are relevant for developers that implement a connection to the Enterprise Search.

·,,IMPORT_OBJECT_DESCRIPTION

By default a button on the Template Modeling UI is used to trigger the import of an object type description.

This method can be used as an alternative trigger. The method calls an implementation of the interfaceIF_ESH_IF_OBJECT_DESCRIPTOR, method DESCRIBE for the object type ID specified and stores the described object type in the specified product version in Enterprise Search.

·,,LANGUAGE_SAP_2_ISO

This method converts a language code in SAP format into a language code in the format of ISO code 639. This tool is helpful due to the fact that the Enterprise Search interfaces expect ISO language codes.

·,,SET_CHANGEPOINTER

Enterprise Search can run delta extractions. In this case, only changed objects are retrieved and indexed.This means that it is necessary to call this method every time that object changes are persisted. The method stores so-called change pointers for a specific object type and object ID, including the type of change.
