Functionality

When saving an admission or a visit the system checks whether further caseless clinical orders, appointments,or service requests exist for the patient, in addition to the appointment for which the admission orvisit was created. If this is the case the user receives a selection box where he can assign these clinical orders, appointments, or service requests to the case for which the patient was admitted or the visit created.

The selection box can be activated or deactivated using the OU parameter N1VKCHKFAL. IS-H*MED evaluates N1VKCHKFAL for the admitting facility OU entered by the user for the admission or visit.

In addition to the admitting facility, you can control the selection box using a BAdI: The BAdI ISHMED_SEL_FOR_FALLBcan decide which caseless clinical orders, appointments, and requests the user should receive. Thisis helpful if, in addition to the admitting facility, you wish to use a procedure to decide which clinical orders, appointments, and requests the user should be offered for selection.

Furthermore, the BAdI can also determine which clinical orders, appointments, and requests are already selected to be assigned to the case.

Cooperation with SAP Enhancement SAPLN1OK

In addition to this BAdI the SAP enhancement SAPLN1OK provides the function exit EXIT_SAPLN1OK_001which classified the objects for processing as:

  • Objects which should not be attached to the case.
  • Objects which should automatically be connected with the case , i.e. without user interaction.
  • Objects which should be offered to the user in a selection box.

The BAdI ISHMED_SEL_FOR_FALLB supplements the exit EXIT_SAPLN1OK_001 and enables the user to design or select the number of objects in the selection box.
