Functionality

Error handling in the Graphical Framework (GFW).

This class contains all the error constants used in the GFW. The constant values refer to message numbers,which are defined in the GFW message class (APPLG). A detailed definition of all constants is provided there; for this reason they are not documented in the Class Builder.

Messages as Return Values

Each GFW method returns a value that contains one of the values defined as constants.

Message Log

The GFW logs all messages whose status is not OK. This also happens when a message is only a warning and the GFW can continue its operation.

This log can be used to analyze problems that occur when the GFW is called up.

Notes

The constant names refer to the origin of the error (for example, E_DC = data container). However, they may also be supplied by other GFW objects.

For example, graphics proxy methods can pass on messages from the data container.
