Functionality

The ABAP class wraps an ActiveX control that was developed in cooperation with EAI (Engineering Animation Inc). This means that if you want to use this class you must install the required DLLs on the frontend.

The ActiveX control is used for visualizing 3D data. Formats that are supported directly include:

• Direct Model, *.jt

• VRML, *.wrl

• Stereolithography, *.stl

Offline converters are available for other standardized formats such as STEP or IGES as well as for all common 3D CAD systems. These tools convert the data into the original format of the control, Direct Model.

Basic functions include dynamically creating a product structure in a 3D viewer, positioning the structure node by means of transformation matrixes and user interaction with the models loaded.
