Work In Process & Labor Tracking Management System

Control Solutions' OpenWIP® (Open Work-In-Process management system) is a scaleable PC based manufacturing facility support tool. The system allows you to collect and process real-time data on all direct/indirect or work stoppage labor activities using the latest radio-frequency and bar-coding technologies. As operations take place in your facility, the production staff uses bar-code scanners to easily, quickly and accurately record a wide variety of production information for processing and review. Items such as labor activity on manufacturing orders and manufacturing operations are recorded. Using this information, OpenWIP® provides real-time reports detailing:

- Labor and production by both work order and part number
- Direct and indirect labor by employee

Another standard feature of OpenWIP® is a real-time interface between manufacturing operations and corporate information processing using "state of the art" Open System standards. Using Microsoft WindowsNT, SQL Server and ODBC interfaces with the Control Solutions Transaction Interpreter, OpenWIP® is able to maintain a local real-time work in process database. This technology allows transactions from any mix of PC workstations, wired industrial terminals and hand-held industrial terminals, to be routed to this real-time database in a seamless fashion.
