Purpose

You use this report to create or set customizing parameter NCODE_NON_UNIQUE. This parameter cannot be directly changed in the transaction General Customizing. If created, the parameter can be reviewed in the transaction /CDBASIS/CUSTGEN_DISunder Program Settings.

Parameter NCODE_NON_UNIQUEcannot be set via the customizing activity /STTP/CUSGENas there is a check, which must be executed before the parameter is set to value FALSE(National Code and National Code Type are unique in the system).

Integration

Parameter NCODE_NON_UNIQUEcan have two values:

  • FALSE- National Code and National Code Type are unique in the system
  • TRUE- National Code and National Code Type are not unique in the system

First the report checks if the parameter exists in the system. If this is not the case, the parameter NCODE_NON_UNIQUEis created in the Program Settings with default value FALSE.

As long as the parameter NCODE_NON_UNIQUEdoesn't exist in the system, SAP Advanced Track and Trace for Pharmaceuticals proceeds as if the parameter has default value FALSE - National Code and National Code Type are unique for all GTINs in the system.

Prerequisites

If the combination of National Code and National Code Type is not unique for all GTINs, the parameter cannot be set to value FALSE. Only those combinations of National Code and National Code Type for which the Material Serialization Indicator is set to TRUEare considered. If for the same GTIN there is no Material with Serialization Indicator as TRUE, the GTIN is excluded from the uniqueness check.

Features

The report can be executed in test and productive mode. If report is executed in test mode, no parameter creation or update is done in Customizing. This mode only simulates the processing and provides information on it.

In the productive mode, the Customizing parameter is created or updated in the Program Settings.

If the parameter value is equal to the value in the General Program Settings,no further processing is executed.

The report executes a uniqueness check and provides the result log with GTINs, which contain duplicate values of National Code and National Code Type on setting NCODE_NON_UNIQUEas FALSE. You must adjust those values to successfully execute the report.

Selection

The processing options are as follows:

  • If you select the Selection Onlycheckbox, the report, whether intended to create or to update this parameter, runs in simulation mode. No changes are made to the Customizing parameter NCODE_NON_UNIQUE.
  • If you select a log level lesser than two, then the report logs basic messages. If you select a log level two or higher, the report logs all detail messages.

Standard Variants

Output

If you select the checkbox 'National Code Non-Unique', the parameter NCODE_NON_UNIQUEis set to TRUE. Then, the same combination of National Code and National Code Type can be used for multiple GTINs. This checkbox and the Customizing attribute is a negative switch. If selected, it switches the uniqueness check off. If the uniqueness check is switched off, only a warning is logged. Neither is an error message displayed, nor are you prevented from saving the GTIN.

If this checkbox is not selected, and the uniqueness check is on, an error message is displayed and you are prevented from saving the National Code and National Code Type for multiple GTINs. GTINs are excludes from this check if Serialization Indicator of its Material is set to TRUE.
