I use TELNET very infrequently but here are the key mappings that I have been
able to figure out:

TELNET Keys
PgUp = Cntl+U
PgDn = Ctrl+F
F1 = Esc+1
F2 = Esc+2
F3 = Esc+3
F4 = Esc+4
F5 = Esc+5
F6 = Esc+6
F7 = Esc+7
F8 = Esc+8
F9 = Esc+9
F10 = Esc+0
F11 = Esc+-
F12 = Esc+=
F13 = Esc+Shft+1
F14 = Esc+Shft+2
F15 = Esc+Shft+3
F16 = Esc+Shft+4
F17 = Esc+Shft+5
F18 = Esc+Shft+6
F19 = Esc+Shft+7
F20 = Esc+Shft+8
F21 = Esc+Shft+9
F22 = Esc+Shft+0
F23 = Esc+Shft+-
F24 = Esc+Shft++
Error Reset = Ctrl+R
Attn = Ctrl+A
SysRq = Ctrl+C

Hi Dick,

We use sometimes telnet for this purpose.
Use start > run > telnet yoursystemname and you will get a
'5250' session on your pc without the use of client -access.
The function keys do not work so good but i have never examined it
thoroughly. It might be an just an idea for you.

Hi Folks,

This is my first request for help. Please be kind. Any help appreciated.
Our end users currently access the AS400 via client access. When a message
requiring operator intervention occurs for a printer, i.e. forms type, a
message is sent to the user's message queue. When we go live with SAP the
end users will not have Client Access. Can a message be sent back to the
user via SAP to notify them of a message requiring a response.
