Diagnosis

The file could not be opened for reading. This can have various causes:

  • The file does not exist.
    The transport control program tp only creates the log files when they are needed. If you have not yet performed any exports or imports then no log files have been created.
Note
Note that the log files ALOG and SLOG are recreated weekly. (For details on this, see the Online Help for the transport control program tp).
  • The file is read-protected.
  • You cannot access the directory.

System Response

Reading the log files was terminated.

Procedure

Using operating system utilities, check whether the log file exists. If the file exists, make sure that the SAP system can access this file.
